The Best Article about Gaza in Western Media

This is the best article I have read in western media about the current massacre in Gaza. It is by Prof. Avi Shalaim the renouned Israeli professor of International relations and lecturer at Oxford University and the author of the landmark book "Lion of Jordan: King Hussein's Life in War and Peace".

This article traces the chronological order of the way Israel has set the stage for this barbaric attack and provides the big picture of the event to the western reader in a vivid and ethically motivated way that I highly admire and respect. This expression by an Israeli researcher who has high ethical standards is one of the few example that still keep our hopeful prespective to be able to strike peace with Israel after all, if such a voice of reason can prevail over the criminal war machine operated by the state of Israel for decades.

It is a good article, what is worth noting is that the author served in the IDF many years ago, so this is a 180 degree turn in his perspective, i could find no fault in the article.

Assalamu Alaikum,
Muslims around the world are fasting in solidarity with the people of Gaza until the offensive ends.
It is expected that the offensive is going to continue for another two or three weeks.
As Muslims, we are responsible and will be accountable for what is happening to Muslims (Palestine, Chechnya, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sudan, etc.) around the globe today.
The least we can do is fast in solidarity.

Please forward to all Muslims you know, even if you do not agree.

Thank you for the link. Much more than the fact it appears in the western press and in English, it doesn't get any more credible than when things are so bad someone who fought for the IDF in the 60s decides to speak on behalf of the other side.

I did my best to spread it.
