Jordan Watch
An update and analysis of development and reform challenges in Jordan from a social democratic perspective.

Not Until the Fat Lady Sings!

If there is one prize for not being committed to a decision, it should go to me. Just 24 hours earlier, I reached a decision to end updating in this blog. I thought it was a product of intensive thinking, but once I posted the note I got a strange feeling of depression.
I just do not want to desert this blog and do not feel that I have both the energy and the time to start over a new blog although I feel very enthusiastic about it. After a barell of coffee, my mind was back ignited again with the thrill of writing back in this blog while expanding its scope and content to adjust to my desire for more posts about my personal issues and the passion I have for science, philosophy and culture which is not necessary an integral part of blogging about Jordan.
Jordan Watch is alive, less than 24 hours of a decision that kept it clinically dead. However, I will take the choice of writing more non-Jordanian posts that meet my desire for expanding the scope of this blog. I think this is the best way to get the best of both worlds, just like Hanna Montana!
However, I feel very easy and relaxed about freezing my Arabic blog. I guess I will give myself 1-2 months of exclusive English blogging.
With me, it is not over until the fat lady sings, and she is currently in no real mood for singing.

You also had decided to abandon political posts a few posts back, but the change of mind is welcome. We're lucky to have you back

at's good news , happy you reverted . I do seem to prefer the Arabic blog just because you can barely find good quality socialist opinions on the web . Your Arabic post I would claim has a wider circle of influence. It is great news anyway !
