Germany Robbed Turkey!

Just when I started to think that football can still be fair and allow the better team to win (Spain beating Italy) this cruel match of tonight brought me to the reality of lack of justice in most football matches.
I started watching the Germany vs. Turkey semi-final as a neutral. I was grateful for Germany after sending spoiled boy Cristiano Ronaldo packing in the quarter final and I enjoyed Turkey's resilience and never say die attitude. It took me only 5 minutes to be a full fledged Turkey supporter. The depleted team was taking the match to the Germans with skilled passing, neat exchanges and a lot of character. Kazim started bombarding Lehman and the cross bar and it was only a matter of time before the brave Turks took the lead. Unfortunatly it needed only Germany's very first shot on the goal to score and level after four minutes of Turkey's goal. A first half that should have ended with 3-1 for Turkey ended with Germany surviving the onsluaght but rocked to the bottom of their dignity.
In the second half Germany was better but still Turkey was superior. It seemed to me that the Turks where just uncertain of how to kill off the match that they controlled and it took a mistake by Rustu to allow Germany to gain the lead. Turkey equalised with their customary last 5 minutes goal before Germany struck again and won an undeserved place in the Final.
The analysts at Al Jazeera's studio said that Germany should improve if they want to beat either Spain or Russia in the final. Honestly, with such a luck on their side they only need to show up on Sunday evening and the rest is only a cliche. Congratulations for Germany wining Euro 2008 and hard luck for the fantastic Turks.

The day is young, and the ball is round. Top world analysts could not predict Holland out, and still cannot analyse the result.

Genrmany is inconsistent, and, to be fair, so are all the other teams, except Turkey, they left with heads raised.

Don't put your bets too early, Russia still have something to prove. The first ever EURO winners, and runners up in three tournaments, that is....in the final four times out of twelve.

Let us wait and see.

Most of middle eastern teams lack precision which the Germans are well known for. If Turkey has that they would have reaped this game so easy.
I hope they would work in building that capability.

Germany deserved the victoyr. turkey was better, attacked better but Germany deserved the victory because they knew how to score goals more than Turkey did and that's what alll footballl is about, unfortunately.
