The New Middle East Map: Welcome to the Islamic Emirate of Gaza

It seems that one of the most popular amusements for the so-called "Middle East experts" in American research centers and media outlets is to redraw the map of the Middle East according to their own wishful thinking, often influended by the strong neo-conservative apparatus advocating the balkanization of the region.
I think some of you remember the "map" drawn by Ralph Peters in the "Armed Forces Journal", which is a commercial American military magzine. That map, albeit intimidating and provocative makes more sense than what the Atlantic Monthly has published in Januray/ February 2008 issue which was prepared by Jeffrey Goldberg. The claim to fame of Goldberg is the fact that he has written the most controversial article published on March 25th 2002 in the New Yorker magazine claiming a link between Iraq and Osama Bin Laden prior to the Iraq invasion in 2002. This article was one of the main tools used by the Bush administration is its package of lies leading to Iraq invasion. In February 2003 the London Observer published an article proving that the source of Goldberg's information was a liar.

The writer starts his article with the usual superiority complex and presents his anaysis while trying to impress the readers that he has been so often in Iraq and talked to influential people and saw a lot of events. Then he starts the real slicing up of the region. This is a summary of his hallucination

1- The division of Iraq into Kurdistan, Sunni Iraq and Shiite Iraq (almost done!)
2- Establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Gaz run by Hamas (Khaled Mashal will be excited).
3- Establishment of the Allawite republic in Latakia.
4- Khuzestan, a mostly Arab province of majority-Persian Iran, could become independent
5- Lebanon could become partly absorbed by Syria
6- Yemen could expand its territory at Saudi Arabia’s expense
7- Bahrain absorbed by Iran.
8- Division of Pakistan into Baluchistan and Pashtunistan
9- Bedouin Autonomous Zone of Sinai (this is pure crazy!).
10- Druzistan in Al Suwayda in Syria (Walid Junbulat thrilled?)
11- New Sudan is in the resource wealthy south.

Doesn't even qualify for a bed time reading.

If we are a live nation their dreams will not materialize, and we have all divided Arab Muslim countries as United Arab Muslim State UAMS. Later ask the rest to join us in UMS and better call it The State of Khilafah and inshallah will be rashidah with no oppression and will spread justice and peace all over our orphan states that was the result of Ottoman Khilapha state. Some may laugh at me but that is going to happen eventually whether they and we like it or not. An for sure the signs of that are there for the ones who can comprehend

The tendency of the old traditional nations to split into tiny ethnical comunities is one of the caracteristics of the Globalization. While the Islamic faith is the pilar of the last solid system of resistance in the modern society, we find that the discussion about the expansion of islam is playing a great role in the designment of the political strategies. In fact Islam as a factor of solidity could be used to draw a different factional map for the region. We all know that the religious debate and faith are the main themes in the Islamic societies, they occupy the minds of most of the people and dominate over other subjects, they are style of living, vision, belief and practice. For those who look forward to divide this last solid society, they draw factional maps. As politics has nothing to do with values, we can't ask them to stop planning the future of the region, we can ask ourselves to plan our own healthy future. In fact the utopia of the restoration of the United Islamic State will widen the gap between the west and Islam, and change the axis of the debate from the clear legitimate rights into unclear demands and differences that bring fears, unrest and untrust for the region and the whole world, and make the other side's planning for their safe future ethical as legitimate self-defence. The solution is the mutual respect between the nations which needs changing and mind enlightenment and tolerance. withot that all will be losers.
