Al Ghad TV: Feeling the Change in the Air

In the past couple of days I have been trying to follow the short summaries and promotional materials aired by Al Ghad TV in its experimental broadcasting, and I have a feeling we are anticipating a drastic change in the quality of Jordanian TV and satellite broadcasting.
It is obvious that the official Jordan TV is in a pathetic state and it can never be allowed to reflect the true progress in the quality of Jordanian media and the dynamics in our society. The competition is vital and any new force with a purpose can easily overtake the Jordan TV. Both Nourmina and Seven Stars private satellites are not convincing and rely on previously prepared material that does not reflect Jordanian identity.
From what I saw in the promotional broadcast Al Ghad TV will present stories and events from within the Jordanian community and may turn out to be the voice of the people. I have seem some interesting reviews of stories about ordinary people making a difference and in need to send a message and this is real spirit that we need from a Jordanian TV.
In addition to Al Ghad TV the current deputee Dr Raed Qaqish is preparing to launch Watan TV in the beginning of Ramadan. It is expected that this new channel will bring more diversity to our poor and inadequate TV and satellite content.
Let us wait for the good news.

If our criteria for the success of ATV is to be better than Jordan's official TV (JRTV), then I think ATV will be a resounding success. Just the fact ATV is staffed by people with an IQ of 80 and above will ensure its success, which we can't say about JRTV.

I suggest we let JRTV operate at present capacity, but without telling their staff that the broadcast has been shutdown. JRTV is good for the public interest in the sense that it will serve as the last resort of employment for the thousands of mentally and creatively challenged. You don't want those people on the streets selling chewing gum and taking business away from the poor.

Batir,,Since your talking about the pathetic state of Jordanian state rune TV,I suggest for them to follow the standard of the Aljazeera that have raised ,other wise, the new Al Ghad TV will be pathetic and will have no audience just like Al Hurra TV

Very nice comments: the first suggests them to follow the standard of Al-Jazeera? what does he mean? should they make political propaganda in favor of Hamas?
Then, I didn't understand how you phoned your mother, do you know Jordanians still live in caves and they've never heard about the invention of the wheel ?!?

The Rajab's comment was fantastic; I've never heard a similar insult and public offense to the poor guys of JRTV, My own opinion is: if you don't like them, switch to another channel or turn off the TV. Why do you hate them so much?
However it's interesting that you know the IQ of all of them, did you yourself make them IQ tests or what?
Rajab, maybe you don't know that the majority of the people working in ATV, Watan TV (and major Arab media)were working in JRTV!!!

Yugi, you seem obsessed with mediocrity. You must be the son of a jordanian government official. May be you are a JRTV employee. Don't feel bad. but why are you so bent out of shape over JRTV? people get upset over child abuse, torture, poverty. But you picked one heck of a silly cause to sweat over. But that's OK yugi. you don't have to have an IQ over 90 to find love and warmth.

Dear Mr.Lateexee:
Please, can you kindly told me what was wrong in my comment rather than attacking me personally?
I do not watch JRTV because I don't like their programs, graphics and generally their mediocre work, I invited you to the same.
However you can't deny that some important and talented Arab journalists were working in JRTV.

Another thing:
I'm not obsessed with mediocrity.
I'm not the son of a Jordanian govt official.
I'm not a JRTV employee.
I get upset over child abuse, torture and poverty.
My IQ is more than 90 :P

Have you noticed that every sentence you wrote was a personal attack against me? and more important, all what you've said is totally WRONG!!
And please, be polite in your replies, I hope you can explain your point of view without personal attacks.

By the way do you think it's polite to define someone as:
1-Confused human being
2-Bigot
3-Racist
??? So, who's confused?
