UK security foil an attempt to explode 10 planes on the route between London and USA

In the last few hours, a horrific terrorist plan was stopped according to UK security officials. As many as 10 aircrafts heading from UK to USA were supposed to be bombed on air by using devices carried in personal handbags taken by passengers into planes. UK security sources stated that 21 persons were arrested . Hethrew airport has been temporarily closed for incoming flights today.
If this plot is true this is a terrible indication of the amount of death terrorists can aim for. It is not clear whether this is another act of Al Qaeda or other Islamic groups but seems to be linked with the war on lebanon.
Metropolitan Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Paul Stephenson said the alleged plotters had intended "mass murder on an unimaginable scale". "We are confident that we have disrupted a plan by terrorists to cause untold death and destruction and to commit, quite frankly, mass murder," he said.We believe that the terrorists' aim was to smuggle explosives on to aeroplanes in hand luggage and to detonate these in flight. We also believe that the intended targets were flights from the United Kingdom to the United States of America.

"I can confirm that a significant number of people are currently in custody and the operation is ongoing."

The majority of the arrests were in London with some in the Thames Valley and Birmingham, he said.
 
This is an indication of the World we are heading to with the "leadership" of Bush and Blair. I know any terrorism act is never to be justified but it can always be explained. What has been happening in lebanon while both USA and the UK were watching is nothing but "mass murder on an unimaginable scale". The anger and hatred sweeping across the Arab and Muslim world towards Israel and its allies (USA and UK governments) will eventually lead to stupid acts like these which target innocent civilians.
If anyone is to blame for this it is that idiot in the White House destroying the world and all levels of tolerance with his support to the Israeli murderers.

Sorry I am not a native speaking English and never lived outside Jordan. I classified it there because this is where the whole thing will be classified, whether it was true or not and whether we like it or not. Although we know that terrorists are a very few minority of the Muslim world but they have the greatest impacts.

but you're kinda predicting. If you'd wait a bit for the so-official, supposed-to-be-true proclaims that Isalmists are responsible, you'd classify it there.

i think that this article is great. i am terrified of the things that are going on in this world. i left lebanon only 3 days before the bombings to return back to jordan. i think we're safe for now..but who konws how longer this will last?
